Wedding & Engagement Rings

Individually Designed & Handmade.....

Having your rings made specially for you ensures that you get exactly what you want.

The rings are made individually for each customer according to the particular wishes concerning the style, materials and price range.

The ring is the one item that the bride wears on her wedding day,

which she will wear for the rest of her life!

Since the rings have such a significant role in the wedding ceremony itself, many couples both have rings to symbolise their vows to each other.

If you have not yet chosen an engagement ring, an individually designed and handmade one is that bit more special.

Whether you require something very traditional or 'a bit different' I am always delighted to undertake commissions.

I recommend 18ct yellow gold for both wedding and engagement ring since it is of high quality, good colour and relatively hard-wearing.

I can make rings in yellow, rose or white gold or a combination of these.

18ct rose gold is a lovely pink colour which is increasingly popluar and harder than yellow or white.

I can also make  rings in 9ct, 14ct and 22ct gold.

18ct White gold is usually rhodium plated to cover the the natural darker grey of the white gold and

protect the slightly softer white metal.

If you prefer the whiter look then I recommend Platinum as an excellent hard, white metal for wedding rings which also  looks particularly good when combined with 18ct yellow gold.

I can now also offer Palladium in some shapes and size -  this is a 95% pure precious metal

which was allocated a hallmark in 2009.  It is a good white colour similar to Platinum and also very hard wearing, although generally it looks better if white rhodium or black rhodium plated .  It is considerably lighter in weight than Platinum so can be good for large wedding bands, especially men's rings.

I can provide a selection of designs for your engagement ring with complementing wedding ring designs. Click here for more information about the Design Process. Diamonds and other gemstones can be provided on approval for you to choose from and we are happy to provide advice regarding the

diamond quality grading system.
An important consideration when choosing the wedding ring is how it will look alongside your engagement ring.  The two should fit comfortably together and both  enhance and emphasise each other.  It is usually possible to design and hand-make the wedding ring so that it will fit snugly next to your engagement ring.

There are a wide range of different profiles as shown below, the most popular ones being D-shape, Court or Flat. However as we make each ring by hand you can have any shape with any design to suit your hand

. Visit us and try on all the different profiles to find which is the most comfortable for you!

What size?......................We advise that you visit us to have your ring size taken professionally.  We need to consider the changes in size due to the hand's temperaure, if it will be worn next to another ring, as well as the rings width  & profile.

Ordering your Wedding Rings... When you have chosen the design that you wish to be made up, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to start the commission.  The remainder is payable on collection in approximately 6-8 weeks.  Most major credit cards and debit cards are accepted.  All prices quoted include VAT and are valid for 30 days.  To ensure your complete satisfaction, if any adjustment is required to the ring you should notify us within 7 days and this will be done free of charge.  This, of course, does not apply to any damage done once it has left our hands or if any significant change in the design is requested.  I do not make any charge for the design work, however the designs remain our property and the sketches must be returned to us.
