2024 Jewellery Competition
New Year Jewellery Design Competition. Win your design made up to the value of £1,000.
Design your own piece of jewellery and have your design made up by Joanne Gowan.
Junior section, up to 18 years old, value of finished piece £ 300.
Adult section, 19yrs and over, value of finished piece £ 1,000.
Winners will be chosen by Joanne Gowan, according to design concept and originality, NOT by drawing skill. So if you have never designed before this competition is for you !
All entrants will receive a free pair of Blue freshwater pearl earstuds worth £ 25 as a thank you for entering.
The winners can chose to have their piece made to the prize value; or use the prize value as part payment should they wish Joanne to use more valuable materials in the creation.
Competition Rules :
Competition is not valid to any University students studying jewellery, nor is it valid for anyone working in the jewellery industry, either in a professional or part time basis. Those taking adult evening classes as a hobby may enter.
Computer Aided Design entries are not valid.
Design sketches can be in full colour or black and white.
The design must be your own original work, direct copies of other makers work is a breach of their copyright.
Designs to be submitted by email as a JPEG or PDF file by the closing date of 29th February 2024.
Submit with your design the following information in an accompanying email:
1. Description of the idea behind the design,
2. The materials to be used
3. Any relevant sizes
4. Name, address and date of birth
5. If you wish you can include design references, photos or working ideas that led to your final design.
